Since 2016, Lower Hortondale Kennels has grown into a well-established family-run boarding and daycare facility, with a fantastic reputation for providing a safe, caring and welcoming environment for every dog that comes to visit.

Our experienced and dedicated team are passionate about animal care, ensuring every dog receives the attention, patience and affection they deserve. We understand that dogs are part of the family, and we strive to give owners complete peace of mind while they are away.

As demand for our services continues to grow, we are often fully booked months in advance, particularly during busy periods. Therefore, we recommend booking early to secure your preferred dates.

Lovely staff, beautiful setting and environment for the dogs. Lots of walks and outside space for them. Kennels is quiet because the dogs are tired from lots of activity!

Lower Hortondale are the only people I trust with our two Dexter & Hershel. They are always relaxed and happy when we pick them up which tells us everything. There have been a few special circumstances and LH have handled them with such care and kindness.

Our two dogs are very well cared for by the Team at Hortondale. We have used day care and overnight stays. Their last stay was 5 days. We had regular photos posted on their profile so we could see they were happy and safe.

Amazing place! My dogs are so excited when we take them. They love the staff.
It’s such a cosy kennel with heaters to keep them warm. They get so many cuddles and the staff send us photos nearly every day, which makes me content they’re having a happy time.
 

Indie always loves her stay there whether just for the day or overnight, and I feel reassured seeing the photos on her profile while I'm away ☺️ they are well organised, so I don't have to worry about her having her medication etc. I know she likes going there because she runs off without even saying goodbye aha thank you so much and I'm sure Indie will be back again soon!
